[ODE] Code quality

Right; the point was to do this, say, before a public release. The idea 
is to catch things that slip through the cracks. A simple diff for 
re-formatting once per release isn't so bad, especially if it's marked 
as such in the change log. (Shouldn't include other changes, though)
