[ODE] Strange Debug-link problem

in the latest release 0.5 i encouneterd the following :

When i use the ode.lib generated for debug by the makefile (float + 
trimesh), my program crashes when calling dJointSetUniversalAxis1()

all's well when i link against the two separate oded.lib and OPCODE_D.lib 
generated using Visual-studio.net

also, no problems in the release build of the makefile (float+trimesh)

so something in the flags of the float+trimesh makefile causes the oddity.
