Finally, a very early demo can be seen at :

http://perso.wanadoo.fr/emmanuel.marin/TotalImmersionRoughDemo.mpg

Brief summary : the "Immersion" feeling comes from neat handling of
the camera motion, from the shadows and lightnings, from the calibration
of the camera's distortion, etc.. but obviously the "fun" in a "fun demo"
benefits a lot from ODE.

Expect far better videos in the next weeks on our official site,
www.t-immersion.com, here it was done between two developments,
you can even see there's a gap of one centimer between virtuality and
reality in the case of the toy building closest to the camera, something
we'll take care to suppress for the "real" videos. In the demo above
you see a hummer, we also made a nice helicopter which collides
everywhere, but is hopefully automatically stabilized, and it looks
neat too. Also the door actually moves in "real" and you can pass
or cannot with your virtual car in a coherent manner. Etc, etc...

As I said here before, we did not develop anything new inside ODE,
we just made a kind of very specific parser, an extension of our
home-made one for our main applications, that read some ODE datas
to use with an ODE dll, that handles a far simpler world that most of
your ODE-based codes I see discussed here can do. We don't make
noises on collision because of such limitations, for instance, we
did not made any elaborate callback, only the basic "describe world,
then loop (send commands -> receive position)".

So if you have any idea of something nice that could be done with
ODE in Augmented Reality.. Do not hesitate to give us ideas and
opinions on what you'd like to see, but don't forget the limitations
above...
