[ODE] auto-build for windows

i had a thought related to the recent discussion on auto- building the
ODE windows libraries:

   * step 1: install Wine
   * step 2: install VC++ - now the optimizing version is free for
     download from: http://msdn.microsoft.com/visualc/vctoolkit2003/
   * step 3: setup various script etc to auto-build the ODE lib every
     night.
   * step 4: auto-build ODE every night on q12 or on the sourceforge
     compile farm (not sure how feasible the latter is, but worth a
     try).

so i have actually tried this and i've run into immediate problems with
Wine. first off, running the VC++ installer crashes Wine. when i try to
run the compiler executable from a previous installation i get errors
about 'environment space not big enough'. so ... if anyone out there has
expertise in using Wine (i.e. in working around its many problems), i'd
appreciate a hand!

russ.
