[ODE] Can't compile ODE :(

Hello,

Just downloaded latest ODE source via WinCVS and make.exe from this
site, created file config/user-settings for msvc, but can't compile
it. I always get the same error:

make (e=2): The system cannot find the file specified.
make.exe: *** [configurator.exe] Error 2

Moreover when I downloaded ready .lib, under VC++ 6.0 I always get
another error during linking:
ode.lib(misc.obj) : error LNK2001: unresolved external symbol __ftol2

How can avoid these nasty errors? Any help really appreciated.
